What is needed to be successful in school?
- Parent Participation
- Making sure students do i-Ready (not as punishment)
- Homework
- Keeping up with grades
- Practice Multiplication
- Keep in touch with the teachers
- Students need 9 hours of sleep. Go to bed early!
- Limit electronics throughout the week
- Attendance!!!! If your child is not here they are not learning
State Requirements to Pass 3rd grade
- Students can repeat 3rd grade if they receive a level 1 on FSA ELA Reading State Test
- Pass the 3rd grade Portfolio
- i-Ready alternative test
- Summer School
- Mid year promotion for qualified students in November of the following school year.

Additional Support
Differentiated Instruction
- During Math and Reading by the teacher to target areas of need
- Support staff goes into classroom to help struggling students
Response to Intervention
- Teachers will be meeting with parents to inform of placement
- Additional support for 30 minutes daily to teach skills by teachers
- If it does not work student will get 15 minutes additional
Intensive Acceleration
- Students learn reading strategies through Science and Social Studies

Science Quarter Test Grades 3-4: End of Every Quarter: October 23, 2019
Science 5th Grade Test: At the end of every Topic and MYA January 21, 2019
District Writing Pre Test: October 14th – 30th
ACCESS for ESOL students only K-5: January 27 – March 20
FSA Testing: April 1-15 and May 4-15
FSA Writing Test (4th and 5th Grade Only): April 1-15
FCAT Science 2.0 Test (5th Grade Only): May 11 – 22
3rd Grade Alternative Test for promotion: May 18th
